Some neighborhoods and condos may prohibit golf cart rentals.
Check with your property manager to ensure your neighborhood allows carts before placing your reservation.
If you rent a cart that you’re unable to use due to HOA restrictions, the cancellation policy will apply.
Charging your cart
We supply all renters with an extension cord for charging. All carts must be charged at your rental while not in use, especially overnight, to ensure full power for your next outing.
All carts must be fully charged upon pick up.
A $25 fine may apply if a cart is picked up with less than 50% battery life.
If you need a longer cord, please call the office to let us know and we will bring the correct length for charging right away.
Our electric carts have about a 25-30 mile range on a full charge. It takes appx 8 hours to fully charge an empty cart.
Rules of the road
Golf Carts/Low Speed Vehicles (LSV’s) are for road use only. If the speed limit is over 35mph, it is illegal to drive the LSV on that road. You may not cross either bridge (north or south) on Siesta Key.
Our carts are not permitted on sidewalks or beaches. Please do not place and/or strap down any personal items on the cart roof (i.e. surf boards and chairs).
The rear seat of the cart folds down for your convenience. Any damage to the roof will result in additional charges.
Children are not allowed to sit in the far back seat of the 6 person carts unattended. We do not recommend children under 6 years of age ride in a LSV.
Renter is responsible for any parking citations and/or fees acquired during their rental. A saved credit will be charged upon receipt of any violations.
Insurance info
Providing Local Style Rentals with your insurance information DOES NOT guarantee insurance coverage.
It is the Renter's sole responsibility to ensure liability coverage and property damage with the renter's auto insurance company PRIOR to signing the rental agreement.
Renter is responsible for ALL liability and damages that may result while operating a Local Style Rentals street legal golf cart, also known as a Low Speed Vehicle (LSV), as defined under the Florida Statute Chapter 320.01.
The valid and collectible Liability Insurance and PIP of any authorized rental driver is primary for the limits of liability and personal injury protection coverage required by SS.324.021 and 627.736, Florida Statutes.
